My partner and I
Multisim
Our Working Prototype
Conclusion
At first we built our toll booth, we had to build off of the picture on mypltw.org, this made it slightly difficult because you had to figure out where exactly the components had to be because of the strange angles of the pictures, and if things were not in line then it would not work. for example our limit switch on the top did not line up with our arm so it did not stop when it went up. The Boolean algebra part of the project was actually not too bad, since each of the final expressions came down to two variables for the LED's and only one part could be simplified for Da and Db. And even though Boolean algebra is hard this project was set up for the boolean algebra to be simple. Then with our multi-sim, our multi-sim took a while because we wanted it done right the first time, however due to a misunderstanding we changed one of our variables NotQa to Qa which made our entire multi-sim wrong. once we figured this out though we fixed it and our multi-sim worked fine. Then we had to breadboard, which we were also given a picture on mypltw.org, however there were parts we had to wire that were not on the picture, which jumbled up the wires, and for us we used the wrong pins at first so our machine would not run, however after we removed our chip and re wired the entire thing and double checked our wiring we had it correct. Then we had to test it, you had to make sure the voltages and the current is correct and useable. This project was for the most part easier than the rest of the year, however there were some Minuit details that were difficult and made this challenging.
